CORRELATIVE STUDY BETWEEN SELF-ESTEEM AND SOCIAL CONFORMISM AT YOUNG

Through this study we wanted to show the statistically significant correlation on the one hand and on the other hand if there is a relationship between social conformism and self-esteem. Both hypotheses were denied self-esteem so do. Metod: Participants were a sample of 52 students, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Bucharest, age between 18 and 59 years old, 28 female and 24 male. Instruments: self esteem scale (Scala Rosenbergand) the social conformism scale. Hence we found out that not correlate with the tendency to conformism there is a direct indicator of this, and regarding the second hypothesis results showed that people do not show lower values in social conformity if close to the adolescent age.
