PERSONALITY TRAITS IN ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT: OCCUPATIONAL PERSONALITY PROFILE OF THE GAME- TESTER

The objective of this paper it is to testing and analysis the personality differences between game-testers and a control group which represents the general population. Instruments: Hexaco-PI-R 60 self-report form. Participants: 119 people with aged between 22 and 48 years old, 57 people are game-testers (12 female and 45 male) and 62 people (12 male and 50 female) belong to the control group.
The research results have confirmed the personality differences between game testers and general population, but not for all personality factors. It was demonstrated that there are differences between groups for Agreeableness factor, Conscientiousness factor and other facets of Honesty-Humility, Openness to experience and Emotionality. In conclusion, these findings should clarify the existence of certain particularities in the personality of a game tester, the results being beneficial in personnel selection. Thus, knowing their employee profile, companies can outline strategies for organizational growth, organizational culture and even developing decisions that are consistent with the values of employees.
