THE PERSONALITY OF KINDERGARDEN TEACHERS

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate specific personality traits of the Big Five Personality Inventory of kindergarden teachers, compared with people who work in another field, such as justice, technical or administrative. This research had 80 participants, divided into two groups, one group consists of 40 people who have the profession of educator and the other group consists of 40 people who all had a different profession . The results of the study indicated that kindergarden teachers have achieved higher scores on extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness than people of other profession, educators and also getting lower scores on neuroticism compared with people who have another profession. Moreover, the results are consistent with the literature regarding the relationship between the specific factors of the Big Five Personality Inventory and the personality of the kindergarden teacher
